Graduated with honors from the “Scuderie Capitani” Academy, Michele Panepinto is a drummer, teacher, studio and live session musician.

Founder of the “John Bonham” Institute of Higher Musical Education and of the Alchemica Music Club in Bologna.

He has collaborated with artists such as Paul Gilbert, Frank Gambale, Iskra Menarini, Sasha Torrisi, Giorgio Canali, Monica Hill, and many others.

With his progressive metal band Inner Vitriol and as a session musician, he has shared the stage with Dream Theater, Pain Of Salvation, Katatonia, Evergrey, Soen, Virgil Donati, Icefish, Haken, Tesseract, Labyrinth, Stratovarius, and many others.

He has played at prestigious international festivals and clubs and he is currently the drummer for the historic heavy metal band Gli Atroci.

In 2022, he published his first teaching method entitled “Studio Il Doppio” dedicated to the study of technique and the development of the double pedal in modern music.

Starting from 2025, he collaborates as a session drummer with Geoff Tate, singer and founder of Queensryche.
